“CCM’s abstract, minimalist production, staged by Marcus Shields and conducted by CCM faculty member Aik Khai Pung, offered many rewards. Matthew Hamel’s inventive set design was basically a shiny black box, dominated by a sloped ramp that crossed to the front of the stage, where much of the action took place. An abstract crown molding and a single crystal chandelier floated overhead.”
